The purpose of a rites of passage program is to proactively guide a young man into responsible adulthood.

If you are reading this blog and have visited here more than once I assume you are, at the least, a conscientious parent seeking the best for your son or a caring adult looking to better support the boys in your life as they become healthy, responsible, adult men in our society.

Therefore, you are already guiding your son (or any young man in your life) down the road to embracing manhood in a healthy way.

The best teachers, instructors, models that our children have (including our boys) are their parents. The rites of passage program simply supports what is already being taught at home. If, at home, a young man is not getting needful information surrounding what responsible male adulthood looks like then a rites of passage program introduces that information and helps the young man embrace it wholeheartedly.

So then the purpose of a rites of passage program is to proactively guide a young man into responsible adulthood and is an extension of training within the home. Or a rites of passage program can fill the void in a young man’s life where this type of training is absent.

My free eBook, A Rites of Passage Framework, will be available as a free download on Saturday October 29, 2011. In A Rites of Passage Framework, I offer for your consideration 4 key components to include in the custom designed rites of passage program you create for your son.

Peace,
