Applauding Positive Black Marriages

Posted by Thomas on March 31, 2010

Thanks to my friends at Black and Married with Kids blog site (if you’ve never read their stuff before, do yourself a favor and check them out). I subscribe to their blog feed and came across an article applauding black marriages.

All YOU MARRIED BLACK FOLK OUT THERE…KEEP THE LOVE ALIVE EVEN IN THE TOUGHEST TIMES!

The article touts the celebration of married black couples. Another reminder, despite all the negative things we hear in the news about “us” put your hands together for some positive news about “us”.

If you’re struggling in your marriage, don’t give up; with hard work you can make it. Visit the Black Marriage Day website. Check out the article celebrating black married couples. Visit the Black and Married with Kids blog. Finally, check out You Saved Me, a documentary that chronicles the greatest love stories ever told, from “us”

…and when you see your wife or husband tonight, show them some mad, mad, mad love.

Peace!

Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.

 –Ecclesiastes 9:9

Fred, thanks for visiting and your comment. I’ve checked out your Making It Last Forever blog and plan to share it with my circle.

The statistics on black marriages are dismal. That is why it is important to celebrate black marriages whenever possible. My wife and I started our blog to discuss real issues that affect marriages.
